Donations and Fundraising
Every teacher knows how hard it is to get supplies and donations for their classroom. Here are some new ideas for getting your students what they need.
A public school teacher should absolutely use…
What is Donor’s Choose?
A charity that connects teachers to donors. This program allows the public to engage in public schools by offering them a simple way to make a direct impact on schools.
How does is work?
Public school teachers go online and ask for specific items that they need in their classroom. Then donors go online and choose what they would like to donate and who they would like to give it to. Once the item has been funded the Donors Choose team steps in and orders the materials and sends it directly to the school. The final and most important step in this process is hand written thank you letters and photos are sent back to the donor showing them exactly what the money went to and how it is being used.
